Anonymous whispered, "About the Crabbe & Goyle question- they were pureblood, yes, but so was Ernie Macmillan and he was in Hufflepuff. Was it just because of their Death Eater fathers?"

Slytherin was not just a house full of horrible dark wizards. Crabbe and Goyle’s personalities fit Slytherin the best so they were sorted into this house. House sorting is all based off traits, the only other house I’d imagine them to fit in is Hufflepuff.

Anonymous whispered, "What do you do if you work in Muggle Relations?"

In Muggle Relations you are in charge of maintaining public relations with Muggles; i.e. in book 6 the prime minister is occasionally notified of the impending struggles in the Wizarding World. That is through Muggle Relations.

Anonymous whispered, "How did Crabbe and Goyle get into Slytherin-they were obviously anything BUT cunning and ambitious?"

Remember, an important aspect of Slytherin House is Pure Blood. Crabbe and Goyle come from pure-blood (or reputed) families. Their respective fathers are Death Eaters, too.

thecultofcraze whispered, "But HE didn't kill Moaning Murtle. The basilisk did. I was under the impression that he had to directly cast the killing blow, so to speak, to create a horcrux."

From the Wikipedia:

Tom Riddle used his diary to create his second Horcrux during his sixth year at Hogwarts. He cast the spell after murdering his fellow student Moaning Myrtle using the Basilisk.

thecultofcraze whispered, "No, he didn't kill Moaning Murtle to create the diary. That Horcrux was created when Riddle killed his father and Muggle grandparents at age 16 or so."

No, that was the Gaunt Ring. I looked it up.

If anyone’s interested in co-owning the site, please send me an ask.

I’m getting much too busy; and feeling guilty that I’ve been neglecting the site.

Anonymous whispered, "I would assume that Slytherin preferred pure bloods, but should you be cunning and determined enough, and hold the rest of the qualities in vast amounts, you would be allowed in."

Plus being heir of slytherin doesn’t hurt.
